In 1965, Bill’s Music opened its doors in an 8’ x 8’ space where owner Bill Higgins gave guitar lessons to local musicians aspiring to be the next Hendrix or Clapton. Today, Bill’s has exploded into one of the largest music retailers on the East Coast. Among its many achievements, Bill's Music was given the prestigious "Homegrown Business" award in Baltimore and is recognized each year as one of the "Music Trades" Top 200 Largest Music Products Retailers. Though the impressive store carries a full line of new and used musical instruments from all the top name brands, over the years it has grown into being more than just a musical instrument retailer.
