| Aviation history exploration, innovative STEM challenges, and introduction to aviation careers are among the activities of the expanded Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum opening in its new expanded facilities in mid 2026 at the Maryland Aerospace Heritage Center, 2323 Eastern Blvd in Middle River. Opening details TBA. The Museum’s flightline of aircraft is currently located at Martin State Airport. Guided tours of these airplanes and helicopters will be available beginning March 18, 2026 on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 10:30 am to 3:30pm and will begin at the Airport's Hangar 5, Suite 531 Museum Welcome Center with a Martin history introduction and admission payment. As the Museum and its Gift Shop have been in moving mode, and exhibits previously seen in this Airport gallery have exited the hangar, the reduced rate for Flightline Tour tickets is $4 for all ages. Due to technology also being relocated to the 2323 Eastern Blvd new facility, tour admission is a cash only transaction. For teachers and youth group leaders, interactive field trip experiences are available offering support of STEM and history curriculum and are available by appointment at museum@mdairmuseum.org. Fee information on website. Plan a visit and discover Maryland aviation history. Visitors of all ages will be inspired with experiences that honor the past, excite for innovations of the future, and nurture and accelerate aerospace “dreams”. |
