The Maryland State Fair & Agricultural Society, Inc., a private non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization, supports agriculture, education, preserves and promotes Maryland’s agricultural roots, and provides competitions and events showcasing Maryland’s premier industry. The Maryland State Fair, heading in to its 143rd year, is the Society’s main event to encourage the educational growth of youth (among them 4-H and Future Farmers of America) by providing a venue where they can showcase their skills, educate the general public regarding agriculture, its related fields, and its importance to our future. Year-Round Event Venue: The Maryland State Fairgrounds is a premier year-round event destination. The 106 acre facility features a variety of versatile of multi-use buildings and outdoor spaces to fit shows, expos, auctions, festivals, fundraisers, reunions, receptions, sporting and other event needs. Conveniently located off of I-83 near Baltimore’s 695 Beltway, the Maryland State Fairgrounds has its own Light Rail stop and parking.
