BA-79 Nike Missile Site May Open House

Missiles in your backyard! Nuclear warheads in the neighborhood! Explore a restored Nike Missile Site outside of Baltimore! During the Cold War, Project Nike stood as a silent guardian, ready to intercept Soviet bombers targeting Baltimore and DC. Today, site BA-79 is one of only five remaining Nike bases in the country open to the public. Step back in time and explore a fascinating, frightening and almost forgotten chapter of American history.
