The Orioles will recognize the 30th anniversary of Cal Ripken Jr. surpassing the said-to-be-unbreakable record for consecutive games played on September 6, when the Orioles host the Los Angeles Dodgers. Ripken will be in attendance, along with National Baseball Hall of Famers Harold Baines, Eddie Murray, Mike Mussina, and Jim Palmer; Orioles Hall of Famers Brady Anderson, Al Bumbry, and B.J. Surhoff; Former Orioles Ben McDonald, Rafael Palmmeiro, and Larry Sheets; Former Oriole broadcaster Jon Miller, and Commissioner of Baseball Rob D. Manfred, Jr. Ripken will greet fans as he is driven around the warning track in a red Corvette convertible, and he will catch the ceremonial first pitch thrown by his son, Ryan.
