Honoring the Past at the Pikesville Armory: D-Day, The 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution, and Maryland’s Role in the Birth of Our Nation

As part of the nationwide celebrations to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution, the Pikesville Armory Foundation is hosting a free event open to the public on Saturday, June 6, 2026 (D-Day): “Honoring the Past at the Pikesville Armory: D-Day, The 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution, and Maryland’s Role in the Birth of Our Nation”.

The program includes:

10AM: Formal Ceremony at the 29th Division Monument at the Pikesville Armory to commemorate the 82nd Anniversary of the D-Day Landings. Brief remarks by David Ginsburg, Executive Director of the Pikesville Armory Foundation and Past National Commander of the 29th Division Association.

10:30 to 11:30AM: Talk on Maryland’s Role in the American Revolution and in the D-Day Landings, at the newly renovated NCO Club. By distinguished historian Joseph Balkoski.

11:30AM: Refreshments
