House History Workshop

learn how to discover the history of your house using local history resources like the Research Library at the Historical Society of Baltimore.

Whether your house is 25 or 125 years old, Historian Teri Rising will share how to find its history using local resources.

Who: Teri Dorsey Rising is an independent architectural historian and volunteer with the Historical Society of Baltimore County. She also served as the County Historian for the Balt. County Department of Planning for over 13 years. Prior to her work with the County, Teri was an Information Specialist with the Balt. County Public Library and worked for the National Park Service at both Fort McHenry and Hampton National Historic Site. She served on the boards of Historic Towson Inc. and the Granite Historical Society.

Teri is a Certified Climate Change Professional (CC-P), and holds a B.A. degree in Historic Preservation from Goucher College.
