Maryland Film Festival Day – May 2 & 3 at the Parkway Theatre
Celebrate the newly designated Maryland Film Festival Day with two days of bold storytelling, local premieres, and creative community at the historic SNF Parkway Theatre in Baltimore.
This special weekend includes a community sneak peek of Stealing Cars by Baltimore filmmakers Marly Hernández Cortés and Stephen Schuyler, a FREE family screening of the Oscar-winning animated feature FLOW, the Baltimore theatrical premiere of Darla in Space, a standout student shorts showcase, and the new documentary Move Ya Body: The Birth of House, directed by Baltimore’s own Elegance Bratton.
Also featuring the 20th Annual Baltimore Screenwriters Competition panel (presented by the Baltimore Film Office at BOPA, Morgan State University, and Johns Hopkins University), a filmmaker mixer, and a closing night house music party — MdFF Day is a dynamic celebration of independent film and Baltimore storytelling.
