Whether you’re looking for a Griswold family Christmas tree, or more of a modest Charlie Brown type of tree, Baltimore County has a list of locations for you to find the perfect tree to gather around and share memories this holiday season.

 

Valley View Farms – Cockeysville, MD

One of the largest Christmas shops in the country, and a Baltimore County holiday staple.  Illuminated with over 100,000 lights, Valley View brings the spirit of the season into your home with a wide selection of fresh-cut Christmas trees in all shapes and sizes.  They have been tried and tested in the outdoor elements for over 5 months at a time, so they’ll surpass your standards for decorating.

Misty Valley Farms – Hunt Valley, MD

Located just around the corner in Hunt Valley is Misty Valley Farms. Don’t wait to pick out your perfect tree, they sell out fast!  Bring the family and come enjoy hot chocolate, whoopie pies, candles, and more local products.

Schedule: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Daily

 

Fair Chance Farm – Upperco, MD

Tucked in the quiet, picturesque part of the county in Upperco, Fair Chance Farm gives you the “chance” to cut your own 7–10-foot Canaan Fir trees.  All individually hand sheared into the perfect shape to hang your ornaments in the right places.  They provide saws and will bring your tree in from the field when you’re finished.  Pre-cut trees also available.

Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

 

Martin’s Tree Farm– Hampstead, MD

On the north-west border of the county, Martin’s Tree Farm will do all the work for you.  Just choose between White Pine, Canaan Fir, Fraser Fir and they will cut, shake, and bale your tree in the parking lot.  Sit back, have a refreshment, and relax with the family while you’re taking a hayride into the field to pick your perfect tree.

Prettyboy Run Farms– Parkton, MD

Prettyboy Run Farms continues to keep their Choose-and-Cut Christmas Tree tradition alive.  Pick from eight different types of trees and they will provide full service from cutting and shaking to baling and drilling.  Just bring your holiday cheer and enjoy a tractor ride and hot cocoa free with the purchase of your tree.  Pre-cut trees and bucket trees also available.

Schedule: Friday-Sunday from 10:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

 

Timonium Fairgrounds Christmas Tree Lot– Timonium, MD

If you’re looking for more of a grab-and-go option, Timonium Fairgrounds Christmas Tree Lot has a wide selection of trees in all shapes and sizes that are pre-cut and ready to be tied to the top of your vehicle.  They offer free trimming, netting, and twine to haul your tree back to your living room.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday from 2:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Friday from 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.

 

Chapel Hills Farm– Perry Hall, MD

Come for the Fraser Fir Christmas Trees and stay for the stocking stuffers of homemade jellies, jams, and dressings.  Chapel Hills Farms in Perry Hall is your seasonal stop for any holiday decor like wreaths, white pine roping, and decorative greenery.

Schedule: Monday-Saturday from 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

 

Frostee Tree Farm– Perry Hall, MD

Just a 4-minute drive from Chapel Hill Farms is Frostee Tree Farm.  More than just a Christmas tree farm, they’re a family tradition that started planting their seeds over 40 years ago.  Cut down your own tree and take a piece of the Winter legacy into your home for the holidays.

Schedule: 8:00 a.m.-Dusk Daily

 

Gunpowder Tree Farm– Kingsville, MD

Hop on over to Kingsville for trees and trucks at Gunpowder Tree Farm.  Choose between a pre-cut tree or cut-your-own Douglas Fir, then grab a bite to eat at one of the various local food trucks parked on the farm.  Wreath making, crafts, and letters to Santa will round out a nice holiday tradition.

Feezers Farm– Marriottsville, MD

Feezers Farm in Marriottsville has a variety of 4 different types of organic trees for you to cut down with your loved ones.  The small, family-owned farm has free bow saws available and free baling for easy transportation back to your home.
