Whether you're in the mood for a spirited race, a festive celebration, or a night sky filled with bright bursts of color, we’ve got something for everyone. Get ready to paint the town red…white, and blue.
July Fourth Parades and Races
Looking for things to do in Towson? Start your celebration with a thrilling four-mile race at 8:15 a.m. just before a festive morning parade at 10:30 a.m.
If you’re in the Dundalk area, lace up for the morning Heritage Independence 6K at 7:00 a.m. followed by the annual parade where community spirit comes to life at 8:15 a.m.
Celebrate in Kingsville during the charming annual parade beginning at 10:45 a.m., featuring marching bands, military units, antique cars and tractors, and more.
Catonsville offers a variety of patriotic activities, starting with the traditional bike ride to Fort McHenry at 8:00 a.m. Enjoy games for kids and live music afterward, then head to the 77th annual parade downtown.
A Week of Fireworks and More
Kick off the festivities a few days early at Big Truck in Parkton. On Saturday, June 29, the farm brewery is hosting live music, fun for kids, and a fireworks show at 9:00 p.m.
Jacksonville Elementary is also getting a head start on the celebration. Make your way to the school on Saturday, June 29, for a splendid fireworks display at dusk.
Join in the fun at the Hereford Independence Day Parade at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, just before the festival featuring vendors, crafts, bands and delicious local delicacies. Fireworks start at dusk, but come early with your blanket or lawn chairs to secure the perfect spot.
Be dazzled by a Star-Spangled Spectacular with fireworks and a live performance by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra at Oregon Ridge Park in Cockeysville. Don’t be late—the show begins at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3.
Fullerton Elementary School is putting on an annual display on Thursday, July 4. Festivities on the field kick off at 2:00 p.m., with music and food trucks followed by fireworks at 9:15 p.m..
Catonsville High School’s fireworks start at 9:15 p.m., but there’s a whole day of activities planned before the big show. Arrive at the high school in the morning and be prepared for a fun-filled fourth.
Keep your eyes on the sky at Loch Raven Technical Academy in the Towson area. The fireworks display is put on around 9:10, but for the best views, locals recommend parking by 8:45 p.m.
Grange Elementary School in Dundalk starts their July 4 celebration at 9:15 p.m. While the display can be seen from spots all across town, it’s best to cozy up at the school for the most incredible views.
Continue the excitement on Friday, July 5, at with the Kingsville Fireworks at Mount Vista Park. This event is a local favorite, with festivities starting in the early evening.
Get the family together for the grand finale on Saturday, July 6, at 9:30 p.m. in Middle River. This show-stopping show on the water can be seen from residential properties, marinas, yacht clubs, restaurants, and other waterfront establishments in the Middle River area.
