Intro to Leatherworking: Make a Laced Tote Bag

Participates will make a laced tote bag. Using premium leather that is pre-cut to size by the instructor, each student will mark and punch holes in the bag. Then the students will use leather lace to assemble the bag, lacing the bottom and both side seams. The students will then rivet straps to the bag. Each student will be able to choose short or long handles. Demo will be present to help choose. The finished dimension of the bag is about 12″ tall by 12″ wide and 3″ deep. The leather used for the bags will be brown in color. Strapping with be brown as well. Ages 14+ (must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket).
