Discover the art of mosaic in this beginner-friendly workshop using recycled stained glass, mirrors, beads, and other unique materials. You’ll design and create your own mosaic steppingstone while learning the basics of composition, color mixing, and material placement. Guidance will be provided to help you develop a design that feels both balanced and personal. Students will choose from different concrete shapes at the beginning of class: butterfly, hexagon or hearts. You will make 1 stepping stone. Your piece will need to dry, and we’ll grout the work later in the week. You’re welcome to return to attend the hands-on grouting demo or simply pick up your finished mosaic later on. Grouting Date: Thursday, September 10 from 3pm-4pm. If you are unable to attend, you may pick up your finished work at the front desk during our open hours: Wed-Sun 12pm-6pm. All tools and materials are included—just bring your creativity! Ages 12+ (minors must be accompanied by an adult)
